Abstract

This research discusses the Community Policing Communication Forum (FKPM) collaboratively realizing community security and order in Pekanbaru City. This collaboration consists of the government (Police and Local Government) and the community. This collaboration is carried out as one of the police strategies to involve community participation in realizing community security and order. The approach in this research is post-positivism, with qualitative methods. The location of this research is in Pekanbaru City. Data collection methods are observation and in-depth interviews. While analyzing this research using the Miles & Huberman model consists of three stages, namely; data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that collaboration through FKPM has great potential benefits in realizing community security and order. This research also found community police partnerships as well as multi-organizational government collaboration. Each partnership has weaknesses in its implementation. In some sub-districts, police-community collaboration has succeeded in reducing crime and criminality. On the other hand, the collaboration between the police and other institutions has not gone well in coordination.
