Abstract

This study aims to determine the direct effect of profitability, company size, sales growth on financial distress, This type of research is quantitative with a sample used as many as 235 companies from a population of 84 food and beverage subsector companies listed on the IDX in 2018-2022. This study uses secondary data published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data analysis was carried out with a quantitative approach using the SmartPLS version 3.0 model The results of this study indicate that: Profitability has a positive and insignificant effect on financial distress, profitability affects firm value, company size has no effect on financial distress, company size has no effect on firm value, sales growth has no effect on financial distress, sales growth has no effect on firm value, company value affects financial distress.
